A little more explanation here, nothing huge, but I couldn't help but mess with the idea that stubbly Mort (our Mort for lack of a better term) would be a little weirded out that this other Mort is so much alike, except for that one thing. He's dating Posey, very happily I might add. In this universe, Mort can see where the track was switched.
