He lost his best friend, she was the only person he could confide in. She was the only person he could get close to. If he could've only saved her, she could've been the only person he could've loved. That's all behind him though. Now her death drives him to save people who can't save themselves. In his heart though, he truly does it for her memory, for if he doesn't try her death was meaningless.
