Dawson hardly makes it into the drama section. The drawing behind this picture came out of a fourty-five minute sketchfest after I read the last few chapters of my One Volume Edition of Bone. The thought of doing something comical in a dramatic setting fueled this picture from start to finish. Dawson's one of my favorite characters. I mean Leroy will always be my mascot, and Jesse is such a vibrant and sassy character to draw, but I think Dawson is such an everyman and an underdog that he's just great to write for. He's become the unofficial leader for the trio, and with his purehearted persona and humble nature, he's a character I like as a person and not just as a well designed cartoon. Maybe that's what's wrong with cartoons on TV nowadays.
