Watering Hole
After Hurricane Katrina there was a pipe down by the golf course that sprayed water. Since nobody around the neighborhood had water, it was the only source of water to drink and wash clothes with. Therefore almost everybody from the neighborhood was around there at one point or another. There was always a group around that pipe. It helped people stay sane in a trying time, and it got people to come together and make friends. It also allowed people to get water to flush their toilets with.
